Delhi Capitals Vs Chennai Super Kings Prediction and Preview

It’s the battle of table-toppers with Delhi and Chennai facing off in the humid city of Chennai. CSK was always expected to be where they are right now, but DC? No one ever really gave them a chance to reach these heights.
Chennai’s biggest strength is the presence of the man named Mahindra Singh Dhoni, who has slipped under the radar and is probably the main man behind each and every victory that CSK has scored. Their biggest weakness? It’s the absence of MS Dhoni as Chennai has lost all the matches he has not been part of.
For DC? Their biggest strength is probably the abundance of talent that the team possesses in such amazing youngsters while their weakness has to be their impetuosity sometimes which has even cost them games.

Team News:
Delhi Capitals
Form Guide (WWWLW)
Will they make any changes? Should they make any changes? The team that played last time around was quite spin heavy but with Chennai supposably one of the stickiest pitches in the IPL that should just be the way to go about things.
The player under the spotlight
The world had seen a new Rishabh Pant against Rajasthan where he displayed a lot maturity and sensibility while at the same time he was still able to execute his shots admirably. He failed again against RCB and would be looking to right those wrongs this time around.

Chennai Super Kings
Form Guide(LWLLW)
CSK is one of the table toppers but they do need people to start performing. Dhoni and Jadeja should ideally be making a return to the eleven while Bhajji will get his game as well. Du Plessis would make a return as well to the squad.
The player under the spotlight
Du Plessis would be slightly agitated at Watson getting preferred over him but that mostly comes to the scores both have made. Watson has been more established and destructive of the two which won’t go down well with Faf. He’d be looking to put the marker down soon and make an impact.

It’s a sticky wicket at Chennai and a high scoring game is a rarity in that case. The teams could be targeting a 150 score at best to stay competitive.
If Dhoni is playing, CSK would look to choke their opposition by keeping them under consistent pressure. DC has a decent slow bowling lineup and we predict DC to win this game.

The World just got introduced to the “New” Rishabh Pant and he’s scary

The World just got introduced to the “New” Rishabh Pant and he’s scary

There was something different about Rishabh Pant that walked out to bat against Rajasthan. While he was batting you saw something that you usually don't really associate with him and if this is not a fluke and he's able to do this regularly then there couldn't be a bigger warning that Pant could have sent out with his innings. The bowlers all across the world should be worried and they should be scared because Rishabh Pant just became mature.
At a ripe age of 21, it seems that he has figured out what batting is all about. During the run chase, there was the same impetuosity that we have all grown accustomed to and like about Rishabh but at the same time, there was so much more on display. This was an innings of a player who knew where the fielders were and most of the time focused on manipulating the field and picking up doubles.

What Pant has been dinged about in the past(and rightly so) has been the fact that he gets carried away a bit too many times while batting and this comes back to bite him as he loses his wicket a bit too many times in crucial situations. In this match, Pant would go for the big shot once in the over and after that use his talent to maneuver the ball through the field and run singles and doubles and most importantly still keep his wicket intact.
This was one of the innings where Pant has actually shown how steep his learning graph is and at 21 if he's able to be this good then the sky is the limit for him. The interesting question though that needs to be answered is if Pant is able to continue this form and produce similar innings in the coming matches then does that give him an outside chance to replace Dinesh Karthik? If it does, it would mean India going into the tournament with potential dynamite of a player in the team who is starting to learn the craft as well. For Indian fans, it's great news because although he might not be the new Dhoni he can surely be the new Pant and even that is a great asset for any team.

Roger Federer vs Dominic Thiem Preview and Prediction

Roger Federer vs Dominic Thiem Preview and Betting Tips

Roger Fedrer
Federer is riding a strong wave of consistency and success as he comes to the final on the back of another ATP title win at Dubai (his 100th ATP Triumph). He has been sublime throughout the tournament. His serve has never really been challenged as he has never lost a game on his serve. He’s yet to lose a set in this tournament and was the favourite for the match against Nadal as well.

Dominic Thiem
Dominic Thiem, on the other hand, is a player with so much promise that it’s really hard to write him off. Probably the one statistic that Thiem would keep reverting to is the head to head battle where he’s 2-2 with Federer which should give him confidence that he has beaten him twice already. Thiem played a flawless first set against Raonic in which he didn’t commit even a single unforced error and it was a bit of a surprise that Raonic took the match to the third set. Thiem would look to play his natural game and just let the cards fall in place. If they do he could be on the verge of winning his first ATP 1000 title.

You really need to look at the form both of these players are in and when you stress enough you find out that Federer is in red hot form right now. Even at the age of 37 he would be motivated to beat the record of most Indian Wells titles(he’s currently tied with Djokovic at 5) and the form he’s in it’s very hard to look beyond him.
Thiem would need to come out swinging and try and replicate his first set performance against Raonic. If he’s able to then with one of the cleanest swings in the game he could make some damage.

In the end, smart money would be on Federer breaking the record of most Indian Wells titles. Dominic Thiem is a powerful player, therefore, we total sets would come to three for sure.

Betting tips for the Weekend Ahead

In England the 25th, 26th and 27th of January is FA Cup 4th round weekend. Forgetting all of that “romance of the cup” talk, it is a time of the season when, if you look for it, there is usually good value to be found. Read on to see some of the tastiest picks of the round, in terms of getting one over on the bookmakers.
FA Cup Fourth Round
We are still early enough into the competition that almost all of the premiership teams—or at least the ones who didn’t succumb first time around—are pitted against supposedly inferior opposition. Gone are the days, though, when managers would play their strongest eleven. For the majority of managers, boards and indeed fans, even on FA Cup weekend, their number one priority is to stay in the EPL, secure their place in the top four, scrape into the top four, or win the thing. There is a small pool of teams in the middle who consider themselves safe and realise the gap to the European places is insurmountable. There are also two high-profile teams who will be desperate to win the FA this season. But, unfortunately for them, they have been drawn against each other, and you are a braver man than I if you can pick—with anything approaching certainty—the winner of Arsenal v Manchester United.
All this means that there is value to be had. Until the team sheets are released, no one will know just how seriously premiership managers are taking it, and bookies will always err on the side of caution and favour the bigger side. In their weekly blog, BetStars give their football tips for the weekend, and it is good to get it from a bookmaker’s perspective. The argument for the EPL teams is just as valid for those in the Championship. Their raison d’etre is to get out of that league and into the land of milk and honey. So, with that in mind, which games jump out from the 4th-round fixture list?
Crystal Palace v Spurs
Accrington v Derby
AFC Wimbledon v West Ham
Other Priorities
Spurs are still fighting on 4 fronts. They are in the semi-final of the Carabao, still in the Champions League and clinging on to their place in the title race. As priorities go, this will not rank highly, and Pochettino even said as much earlier this month. Throw in Kane’s injury, and it isn’t hard to see how seriously he will be taking this. Palace are in a relegation scrap themselves, but have done enough to get a little breathing space. And Roy Hodgson will certainly be looking to carry on their momentum and get one over on their London rivals.
Derby, with Frank Lampard at the helm, will be purely focussed on securing their place in the playoff spots in the Championship and making sure they are in a position to strike if either of the top two slip. They had a good run in the Carabao, but that ultimately affected their league form, and he will not want that to happen again. Fellow Championship side Ipswich found how hard it was to break down a resolute Accrington side in round three, and I can see a repeat on Saturday.
Shock of the Round

AFC Wimbledon may not be having the best of times in the league, but their tie against West Ham is exactly the game their fans would have been dreaming of during their seasons out of the top four tiers. West Ham have found some form of late and have all but secured their place in the EPL for another season. Kingsmeadow is a lot more like Upton Park than the Hammers’ new home, and though Pellegrini will take this seriously, I can see AFC causing the upset of the round, and that outcome will have tasty odds to boot.
There are a number of Championship games, as well as practically a full fixture list in leagues 1 and 2, so it is possible to sprinkle the FA Cup ones into a more run-of-the-mill accumulator to spice up the odds. Before you do anything however, make sure you check out our handy arbitrage calculator to ensure you are getting maximum value.
